Previously a tired and dilapidated dormer bungalow, this site has been completely transformed by Exemplar into a beautifully crafted, bespoke three-bedroom home with a detached garage. Working closely with the client, our team managed the full demolition and rebuild, delivering a high-performance, architecturally considered dwelling that blends contemporary comfort with traditional charm.
The new home features a striking oak-framed entrance and detailing throughout, adding warmth and character to the design. In line with modern sustainability standards, the property also incorporates photovoltaic panels with integrated battery storage, significantly reducing energy consumption and futureproofing the home for years to come.
Delivered over a 10-month construction period, the build was completed to the agreed programme and specification, demonstrating Exemplar’s commitment to quality, reliability, and transparent project delivery. Every element—from structural integrity to internal finish—reflects our focus on craftsmanship and detail.
This project was Highly Commended in the ‘Best New Dwelling’ category at the Devon Building Control Awards 2024, a testament to the design quality, technical execution, and collaborative ethos that underpin every project we undertake.
